I gasped as the room around me disappeared and I found myself standing in a large room with a floor to ceiling glass wall. I raced to one of the walls and pressed my hands against it.

The colors were astounding. Gray rocks, sea foam green plants, yellow plants, and blue plants. So many plants. And fish, rainbow colored fish, white fish, gold colored fish, purple fish.

This place was amazing.

"I was right. Look at all those colors. So different than hell."

"It is beautiful, isn't it?"

"I never imagined purple would be a color in the sea." I wiggled my index finger at a purple fish as it swam by. "I can understand why you like it down here. There's so much to see."

"There's even more to see over here."

I swung around and then immediately swung back, squeezing my eyes closed so I wouldn't see anything reflected in the glass. I had no interest in seeing the god of the sea naked.

Nope. Nope. Nope.

"I think it's time for me to go now. Can you send me back?"

"Don't you want to see my underwater kingdom?"

"Not until you put clothes on."

"I am Poseidon, god of the sea. I don't have to wear clothes."

"I'm Herby, immortal human. I don't have to look at you without clothes."

Seemed rather simple to me.

Poseidon's voice came from closer behind me when he spoke. "You're immortal?"

"Hades said the Fates made me immortal."

"Why would they do that?"

"Because Herby willingly sacrificed his life to save mine," Hades snapped from somewhere behind us. "I gave him a piece of my soul to save him."

"Hades," I whispered.

I desperately wanted to look.

I kept my eyes closed.

Hades huffed. "Put some clothes on, Poseidon."

"Fiiine." Someone snapped their fingers. "There. Happy?"

"Immensely," Hades replied.

I jumped when someone grabbed my shoulders.

"It’s okay, Herby," Hades said. "You can open your eyes and turn around now."

"Are you sure he has clothes on?" I asked.

Again, I had no desire to see Poseidon naked.

"I'm sure."

"Is he going to keep them on?"

"He will or I'll feed him to Cerberus."

"And I'll feed you to my kraken," Poseidon countered.

That got me.

I opened my eyes and swung around. "Can I meet your kraken?"

Poseidon narrowed his eyes and gave me that look.

"Does he sleep with you? I made Cerberus a bed just outside our room for him to sleep on, but he takes naps with me and stuff. Your kraken is probably too big, huh?"

The kraken was supposed to be a giant octopus type creature, maybe even bigger than a pirate ship. I wasn't sure if there was a bed out there big enough.

Poseidon panned to Hades. "You have a bed for your hellhound, and he takes naps with your mate?"

Hades shrugged. "He likes Herby."

I adored the three-headed hellhound. "He's just the cutest little thing."

Poseidon's eyebrows shot up. "You think Cerberus is cute?" His eyes widened. "And little?"

"He is," I insisted before turning to look out at the sea again. I was tired of getting the look from someone so close to Hades. Poseidon obviously thought I was wacked, and if he kept it up, pretty soon Hades might start to think the same thing.
